Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how SendAPhoto ("the app", "the Service") collects, uses, and protects users' personal data. Data controller: Cosmocode, reachable at info@sendaphoto.app.
1. What SendAPhoto does (and doesn’t do)
SendAPhoto transfers photos and videos directly between your devices, over the same local (Wi-Fi) network, without passing through any server. Your photos and videos are never uploaded, transmitted, or stored on our servers — the transfer happens directly (peer-to-peer) between the devices involved in the exchange.
Our servers only ever handle the information described on this page: accounts, plan status (free/PRO), usage counters, and email communications.
2. Data we collect

3. Local network and file transfer
To find other devices on the same network, the app uses local network discovery (mDNS/Bonjour) and, as a fallback, a 6-digit pairing code or QR code. This exchange happens exclusively on the local network you’re connected to and never involves sending data to external servers. Transferred files are never visible to us or to any third party.
4. Advertising (FREE plan only)
Users on the FREE plan (including those not yet registered) may see ads served through Google AdMob. Before showing personalized ads, consent is requested via Google’s official tool (User Messaging Platform). PRO users never see ads. Google may collect advertising identifiers and usage data per its own policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
5. In-app purchases
PRO plan purchases are handled through the Apple App Store or Google Play. We never receive or store payment data (card numbers, etc.) — this is handled entirely by Apple/Google under their respective privacy policies.
6. Data retention
We retain account data for as long as the account remains active. You can request account deletion at any time from the app (Settings → Delete account) or from this site’s Delete account page: this permanently removes the email, plan status, usage counters, and purchase history tied to the account.
7. Your rights
If you reside in the European Union (or an area with equivalent regulations), you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- request correction or deletion;
- object to or restrict processing;
- request data portability;
- lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.

8. Minors
The Service is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under that age.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of the page shows when it was last changed. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated version.
